Ballet

Ballet is a kind of theatrical dance that combines the danse d'école, a rigorous academic dance discipline, with other creative components including clothing, music, and set design. Ballet is also a name for the academic method itself.

Though ballet has always been portrayed to the public as lovely, mastering it is not simple. Ballet is the foundation from which technique develops, and I had never even attempted it before I started high school. While it wasn't taught very regularly, I always wanted to learn more about ballet since it is such a lovely art form, and I wished I had discovered it earlier in life.

Modern dance

The history of modern dance in the United States can be traced back to a group of dancers who are sometimes referred to as its pioneers in the early 20th century (Germany also had a comparable and significant dance movement). A new kind of concert dance emerged in America because of the work of Isadora Duncan, Loie Fuller, Ruth St. Dennis, and her husband and collaborator Ted Shawn.

As I fit into that genre so well, modern has always been a style I really liked. It's capacity to be unrestricted while maintaining a presentable appearance. For me personally, doing modern was a lot of fun since it's such a fun style and you can just be yourself when you dance. I've always liked lyrical and contemporary dance, so learning modern was great.

Jazz

Jazz dancing, according to the All That Jazz Dance Company, "combines the most recent styles of popular dance with the classical ballet and modern dance skills. Jazz also has its own movement language, ranging from the isolation of body parts to the movement of the entire body with an emphasis on musical beats. Jazz dance may adopt a wide range of traits and aesthetics, including Street Jazz, Percussive, Broadway, Contemporary, and Lyrical. Any of these genres, or a mixture of them, can form the basis for jazz lessons. The significance of vigor, rhythmic precision, and flair is emphasized.

I was surprised by how much I liked jazz because I've always preferred lyrical and modern dance. Jazz helped me come out of my shell and I enjoyed it because I felt and looked like I was having fun. I tend to be more outgoing, and when I perform jazz, it is clear that I am at ease going all out and embracing the music.
